Watershed Educator, Lisa Decker will present on Water Scarcity and how the Boise River formed.
Please join us on January 13, 2026 at 7:00 PM, Lisa Decker, Boise Public Works’, Watershed Educator will talk about some of the history and the wonderful things they are up to.
“How has water scarcity shaped the place we call home today? Did you know there was a time when the Treasure Valley was underwater as part of Lake Idaho? As it drained and the Boise River formed to cut through the valley, it left behind the “benches” we know of today.
We will explore our ever-changing Boise River Watershed from the headwaters of the Boise River to the valley where most of that water gets distributed. Then we will take a behind the scenes peek at how our used water gets cleaned for our neighbors downriver!”
